2 Nvidia cards, 3 monitors, 2nd card stays disabled

I have two nVidia cards: a GT 240 GT with two monitors, and just recently added a 9300 GS with one monitor attached.

These two cards use the same driver, so I was expecting a reasonably easy time in getting it working, and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the monitor in nvidia-settings.
It was disabled, so I enabled it, saved the changes to xorg.conf, and restated X.

Nothing happened. The 3rd monitor stayed off.

I went back into nvidia-settings, and found that the monitor was shown as disabled! This is despite enabling it and being able to see the changes in xorg.conf....

No matter what I do, I can't get the monitor to stay enabled. I can write to xorg.conf from nvidia-settings, and click the Reset button that is supposed to remove all unsaved changes, and it displays the screen as disabled again, right in front of my eyes....

How do I get this to work? nvidia-settings seems to be finding everything, and doesn't complain when I change settings, and other changes I make stick, but this monitor just will not stay enabled!

EDIT: probably a good idea to include my xorg.conf:

    # nvidia-settings: version 1.0 (buildd@yellow) Fri Apr 9 11:51:21 UTC 2010

The Toshiba monitor (Monitor1) on the 9300 GS (Device1) is the one that won't work.

    Nooooooo! No replies overnight!

Seriously though, does no one have any info on this? Not even a useful link?

NM, suddenly works....I hate it when that happens
