Hi,
I'm running the latest version of Ubuntu on an Acer 4935 which includes a nVidia Geforce 9300M GS.
I have a LAN coming up and I'm hoping to play HL2, CSS, etc. using WINE.
The games are running fine but even when sitting at the menu screen the GPU temperature is creeping up; im scared to think what it would be doing after 6 hours or so.
I've installed nvclock in an effort to ramp the fans upto 100% but every time I issue the Fan Control command it says my card/chip is unsupported.
Does anyone know of any other utlities that will give me control of the GPU fan?
Does anyone know how to get nvcontrol to control the GPU's fan?
Thanks in advance for any help whatsoever.
