Question deauthenticating from ... by local choice (reason=3)

Linksys WUSB54G. Used to work. Installed Lucid. Drivers are installed, I can see my access point. Try to connect, it times out. dmesg gives me deauthenticating from [MAC ADDRESS] by local choice (reason=3).

    No clue what to do.

Tried all the workarounds on this page:

    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ux/+bug/548992

    Disabled IPv6. Did nothing.

Tried static with network manager. It connects to the access point, but can't connect to any computer on local network or the internet.

Uninstalled network manager. Installed wicd. No luck. Tried reserving an ip on my router. No luck. Tried reserving an ip on my router and using static ip with wicd. No luck.

I'm about ready to smash my wifi card at this point and get a new one, but I'm afraid I'll have the same problem with the new one, lol.

Bump. I spent maybe six hours or more trying to fix this issue with no luck. I even tried doing a fresh install of Ubuntu (rather than Lubuntu) but no luck. Next I might try going back to Hardy Heron, cause something really got borked with Lucid WUSB54G drivers.

Hi. I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. Did you finally managed to fix the problem? Installing Hardy Heron instead of Lucid Lynx helped?

    Cheers.

    Still having this problem.

Tried disabling WPA. I can connect, but I need my network to be protected. Reenabled, doesn't work. Using Wicd though, not network manager. Not sure if that matters.
