    Sure thing! I am working on revamping the terrain system right now (switching from Cartesian terrain tiles to Isometric terrain tiles), and it may be a day or two before I get it working correctly.

    The change will make the terrain look much nicer though . I will get some screenshots to you as soon as its working.

    I have made some massive improvements to the terrain system recently (those screen-shots are coming).

    Mainly terrain performance tweaks: Increased the performance by about 70-75%, and decreased both the system memory and video memory usage by 50%.

    There are several parts of the code I plan to optimize that affects the loading speed. Should have those nice 'n spiffy here soon too!



    UPDATE: The frame-rates on my ubuntu pc have increased from 74 FPS to 114 FPS (54% increase). The memory usage has been decreased from 17629184 bytes (~16 MB) to 8847360 bytes (~8.5 MB) (49% decrease).

    Just got the Lzma encoder/decoder working, it replaces the bzip2 compression library used by Gv. Currently it has dropped the amount of disk space required by Gv by 34%.

    @ELD:

    I am working on implementing the missile system, which allows lasers/missiles/bombs to get launched when a unit attacks. Everything is working well, there are just a few visual bugs I would like to fix before getting those screen-shots for GOL.
