OKay, I'm going insane here.
I just just installed Ubuntu on what is to become my main computer.
From my old computer I copied my photos and other files to my home folder.
I chose not to copy the configuration files (you know, the hidden . files), because I wanted a fresh start.
Now I imported some of my photos into F-spot and I see that the tags were not maintained, even though I specifically stated in the preferences that the tags were to be written to the photo's on the old computer.
If that wasn't bad enough, I can't find an easy way to import tags from one computer to the other. I created tags to search every minute detail of my photo collection, I really don't want to start over again.
Is there a way to export the tags and import them into f-spot?
I'm running version 0.6.xx on the old computer and version 0.7.xx on the new one. Also is there no option to see metadata in the newer version?
I have metadata in my sidebar in 0.6, but not in 0.7.
(seriously regretting having used the PPA install now).
