I've been reading all the Buntoids information. Major kudos to the devs, what you are doing is amazing. I've been wanting a game like that for a long time...
Pokenet was shutdown due to trademark infringement, however the full client and server are on Google Code in source format.
Would it not be more productive to give that a re haul instead of starting from scratch (i.e. remove all pokemon related information and replace it with your own)?
Just a thought.
