    Changing Application

    /tmp/remove link-5.JPG could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.

    I would appreciate it if someone could explain to me what is going on in the above paragraph. Also how to remedy it.

    Open Nautilus in a directory with jpg files, right click on a jpg, select open with, other application, select your preferred viewer program and make sure "Remember this application for jpg image files" is checked.
