TINY N12 laptop: None of the hardware works
My friend has an 8 year old TINY laptop, which I think is an N12 model judging by the labels on the underside. It has a 64 bit CPU, so I tried to install Ubuntu 64 bit. The Live CD works a treat, but none of the hardware works, except for the display, keyboard and mouse. I don't have the laptop to hand, but I can tell you that lspci and lsusb does list all the hardware, but it's like no drivers are being used. I cannot access the hard drive nor the DVD drive as they are not listed in Computer, only the filesystem is.
I've not seen this problem before, so what could be wrong?
