I have had this error for way too long. This post will be done in parts. I've had it for months now and I'd like to solve it. Every suggestion on linux forums, ubuntu forums, or some XYZ-linux blog seems to either work for just one boot or none at all. Any Help is MUCH appreciated:

- since I have updated my kernel on several occasions, I have also re-installed my NVIDIA kernel module by downloading the run file from NVIDIA's website. It also follows instructions from this post.
