New To Ubuntu!

Hello all,

I started off with Ubuntu around two weeks ago. My Windows XP was acting funny and wouldn't boot up, so I remembered a friend years ago telling me about Ubuntu.

I installed using the alternative CD, and immediately installed it on every computer in the house after seeing it. My only complain as of yet is the gaming support being a gamer myself, but it's nice to see Ubuntu taking a interest in anime./

As for commands, I'm still trying to figure that out, but I've managed to install a couple games and programs with WINE/WINETricks, and PlayonLinux. This is the Kentucky board right? I'm from Northern Kentucky, nice to meet all of you!

Welcome, I'm not in the Kentucky area, Utah actually, but I would recommend that if you do need help or assistance, you can either search for an existing thread or post a new one in the General Help area.

I'm not sure how active some of the LoCo Boards are, I know mine last post I saw was in 2009.
