    Reinstalling Trouble

I have been having trouble with ubuntu so I tried reinstalling to see if that would help. I deleted the ubuntu partition and then tried to reinstall from the Ubuntu 10.04 cd. About half way during the installation ubuntu starts flashing white lines. I do not know what to do. How can I reinstall Ubuntu?

    Re: Reinstalling Trouble

It sounds to me like hardware trouble - possibly overheating of your CPU or graphics card, faulty RAM, or a failing power supply not providing enough volts to your system.
I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.
