    KeepNote

Anyone using KeepNote? How do I set the language to default to English - US. It is defaulted to English -GB I guess because it want to use the British spelling for words. I use this to take notes for school and the spell checker keeps telling me I have misspelled words. It wants to spell "center", "centre", "minimize", "minimise", etc.

    It's driving me crazy!

Are you still using KeepNote? If so, I'd be interested in how you are syncing between computers. I'm trying out SpiderOak, but somehow I don't think I should be syncing the SQLite indexes

    Re: KeepNote

    I found something here:

    http://keepnote.org/manual/index.shtml#spell_check

    It says:

    Spell checking

Spell checking is available only on Linux and Mac OS X at this time. GtkSpell is required for this feature to be enabled. You can install the required dependencies on Debian (or a compatiable platform) using the following command:

    apt-get install python-gnome2-extras aspell aspell-en aspell-XX

Where XX is your own specific language (e.g. de for German spell checking). Once dependencies are installed, you can use the menu option Tools > Spell Check to toggle automatic spell checking on and off.
