I love xpad, wonderful piece of software. Light, customizable, too few dependencies and does its job.

Tablet PCs are an old technology. They just sold horribly when they first came out, and no one gave them a second thought for a few years. Then Apple came out with the iPad at seemingly the right time, and everyone went crazy about it.

Apple definitely did not come up with the concept. They just got lucky and hit the jackpot when they came out with their version. Since nobody cared early on, the iPad is all they know about.
