India to sell $35 dollar Linux Tablet, competes with Ipad

India has come up with the world's cheapest "laptop", a touchscreen computing device that costs $35 (£23).

Oh an IPad ("I" stands for India ). Looks cool and it's dirt cheap, if it works as advertised, this is awesome.

Linux is already "somewhere" - it runs a huge number of servers and embedded devices.

Plus it runs quite a few desktops too.

I hope they have at least some way of using a (digitizer) pen on the device - touch is mostly useless when education is concerned.

Interesting, maybe they will drop the price on the I-pad to compete with it.
