Would a Dragon Battle MMO work if started?

I'm concluding that a dragon battle MMO doesn't exist. Now, my question is, if someone created one, would anyone play it? My though behind this question is why is no one doing this (creating it and playing this).

depends on how well it was implemented. has potential, but could also flop badly. if you are creating one, maybe set it on / base it around pern http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonriders_of_Pern
EDIT ubisoft has the game rights and made a very poorly selling game about pern. i don't know if you'd be allowed to base a game on it.

Are you dedicated? Can you get a great team together for coding and graphics 2d/3d how are you going to let us play online since it will require a server and who will pay for all those? Can you make it the same or even better than other mmorpg or mmo out there ?

Some people can live with just a good game concept but for me graphics are equally if not more important.

I was just thinking about throwing out the idea to the Ubuntu community, wasn't really planning to develop it into a game myself. I could do it but...why not?
