world cup football streams 5 secs late on linux machines

    Hi all,

I am not sure if you guys have noticed this, but, here in UK, every time I go on to watch live football stream on bbc or itv, the world cup football streaming on linux machines is at least 5 seconds later than windows machines.
This happens irrespective of the time, the windows machine is turned on.
I have tested this at different locations and happens on two of the best linux distros.(Ubuntu and Fedora).
    Any ideas why?

Just a guess here, but maybe the servers are optimized for native windows clients and not for native linux clients?

Thanks for the reply . i have noticed this on youtube as well. few months back, youtube was streaming live cricket matches from IPL and it happened then as well. I am pretty sure youtube does not discriminate windows vs linux clients. does it?
