HOWTO: migrate wubi install to partition

When you click on that error icon does it give you any information as to what it thinks is the problem? You might want to run chkdsk from windows to ensure that the partition is clean before trying again to resize it from the live USB.

I attach two screenshots now, hope this makes it more clear. In the first one, which is taken when I run GParted from the liveUSB, you can see the errors. However, when I run GParted from my wubi installation, you can see everything's OK. I just don't get it...

Edit: chkdsk seems to have worked, thank you! I will let you know if the migration has gone alright when it's done.

try uninstalling bootchart and rebooting before rerunning the script, or else edit the script and add a manual exclusion for /dev/.bootchart:

hi again, bcbc..... i needed some help from ya..its like last time when i was using ubuntu on wubi i had this problem with the grub...and it would take a lot of rebooting to successfully boot into ubuntu...and then i found ya awesome guide with the fix and i applied it...then the problem was fixed...then i migrated to a native install and then the problem appears again..please if u could suggest me something it would be really nice of of yu..coz like i ll ve to reboot for like 10 times and then and only "SUCCESS".....
any help really appreciated

At first blush it sounds like you might have some hardware incompatibility... but looking over your old posts, you have a bootinfoscript result that indicates you have dynamic drives on /dev/sdb. These don't play well with Linux, but I assume if you migrated to /dev/sda you should be okay (however I don't recommend mounting /dev/sdbY partitions from linux as you could potentially run lose data).

Why don't you create a new thread (since this doesn't seem like a migration issue), post your complete computer specs, plus a new bootinfoscript result, and then post back here with a link to it and I'll see if anything stands out?
