Install iTunes 9.2 on Ubuntu 10.04

Hey,

I was just wondering if it was possible to install iTunes 9.2 on Ubuntu 10.04?

I can only use iTunes 9.2 because I have iOS 4 and it only works with iTunes 9.2.

Just curious, have you tried rhythmbox with your iPhone yet? I know it syncs with the 3.x.x firmware, but i'm curious to see if it works with iOS 4

To install iTunes you need to install a program called Wine. You can download Wine by searching for it in the Ubuntu Software Center.

Once you install Wine go and download the latest version of iTunes from Apple's website. Once you get the .exe installer just run that with Wine.

I shall try my iPhone with Rhythmbox now, I shall post the results of what happens.

If it doesn't work I shall try wine and iTunes, though on some forums, they say that only older versions of iTunes work with wine.

Alright, so I go to Devices and click on my iPhone, how do I put music on it?

Ive been using my iPhone 3G with iOS4 on Rhythmbox, but I havent had great results. The songs I put on it dont show up on the phone. But they show up on it on the computer when its hooked up.

To add songs from Rhythm box, you basically just drag them to the iPhone.

I also tried doing my friends 3GS but it wouldnt even show up in Rhythmbox. He wasnt using iOS4 though.
