Checked many threads and couldn´t find a solution to this one yet:
Just bought a new PC with no OS (MoBo Intel Atom D945GCLF2D) and I´m trying to install Ubuntu 10.04 (desktop i386 32B) from a USB Flash Disk (the PC has no CD-Rom or floppy).
On booting the machine the message is: Boot Error
I tried in a Dell Lap Top the same Flash disk and it worked just fine. I tried the same flash disk in my old PC and the same msg appeared - Boot Error.
Steps I followed with no success in my new PC:
1) Bootable Disk with Universal-USB-Installer and Ubuntu 10.04 Iso in a Windows XP
2) Enable USB as first boot option at Bios
3) Tried to boot another OS from USB (also Linux) and it worked fine
4) Followed an advice to enter bios (F2) during boot and press ESC after that (no results);
I thank any tip on what to do. Rgds
