    Modifying Ubuntu LiveCD

I've read this article: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomization. What I want to do is boot the LiveCD, install some applications, and then somehow pushout a customized LiveCD. Sort of like slipstreaming the LiveCD. Can I do this without going through all the steps of that article?

    Thanks!

If you mean a LiveCd, rather than an installation CD, then this procedure is probably the best to follow:

Sorry. That's the link I meant to post. I was just wondering if I could just like boot up the LiveCD, install some applications, and make a new LiveCD with all those options without following that whole tutorial.

Remastersys is good for this kind of thing, but i've never tried it in a Live desktop, only with new installs.
This APT has Super Cow Powers.
If I'm not back in 5 minutes, just wait longer.

The easiest way I have found to make your own distro or live CD is on this web site http://susestudio.com/
A computer without a Microsoft operating system is like a dog without bricks tied to its head.

Thanks for all the suggestions! It looks like Remastersys is the perfect tool I need.

Maybe... I've been trying to use Remastersys to make a live cd distro of my Ubuntu 10.04 installation to include a few other apps I've added, but along with some others (found this out when I searched the internet looking for a solution) I have encountered an issue. In my case, the newly-made live cd demands that you log in and give a password, and whatever I've tried, it hasn't accepted. I haven't found a way around this yet - though I have used Remastersys successfully to simply back up my entire system rather than to make a live cd distro.

I do like Remastersys though and will be keeping an eye on developments.
