Question Suspend mode won't work - Toshiba A100

I have just installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my toshiba A100 laptop (model #PSAAKC-VA104C).

When I put the computer on sleep mode (suspend mode), via the system menu or pressing the power button once, the computer does go into suspend mode. Here is the trouble, it wakes up, but nothing appears on the screen

I have to hold down the power button to force it to shutdown. Turning back the computer ON won't solve the issue ?!? Screen is still blank. I have to remove the battery, put it back again and then turn the computer on.

Where should I start? Please help.
