Tips?

I'm moving from Windows to Linux and love it so far! I am eventually going to start making my own linux os. Any useful tips for the newcomer?

P.S. Me and my uncle were talking and wanted to know this, Does anybody else here LOVE Journey? The band?

Making your own linux distro... You got to figure out which window manager you'll have, file manager, gtk or qt apps? maybe both. You will need to have a kernel and much more.. You got to read and get some info about stuff before you make your distro.

And Journey is OK, they got some good songs (dont stop beliving, for ex)
