cube is another free ones, i belive quake2 is in the repos. quake3 is free from icculus, but you need the pak files from the original. Check out the game list on the ubuntu wiki, i think.
also keep your eye on tremulous. its a quake 3 total conversion mod. and they are working on the next version being a stand alone version, so you wont need a copy of quake 3 to play it.
