You picked the right hobby, my friend.

You seem a bit irritated that there are people who think differently than you; here's an idea, go outside, socialize and stop worrying about how people you've never met live their lives.
    Irritated. Lol!

How is an OS a way of life? Please explain, thanks.

    Linux - Just an OS
    Open Source - Scientific methodology
Free Software - Political philosophy / Business Model
    Microsoft's crimes - Ubuntu CE - Windows 7 sins

Wow, that is almost signature worthy! Ubuntu may not be a way of life for me, but it is a way of making my life easier.

I'm pretty passionate about giving back to the community. I do a lot of volunteer work for local charities and schools.

See, you have to leave your basement to do those types of things.

It's not a way of life, it can't be.

Egos/personalities & those that feel they are somehow devalued if someone disagrees with them is both a sad state of affairs & a cause for mirth when observed on the forums. /

Far more serious when the same attitudes cause reactions in people in powerful positions though...
