    Linux is a hobby and like all my other hobbies part of my life . My hobbies are the things I really enjoy; now, if I could figure out a way to get paid for them it would be great !

    def just an OS.

    the only way it can be a way of life for someone is if they take the whole open-source and free software movement extremely seriously and become zealots.

    No OS is "a way of life" nor should it ever be. If you feel that it's becoming one, try going outside, breathing fresh air, and socializing with real people in person.

    Linux can be an OS, but technology inspires the way you live your life. Isn't that exactly what Microsoft and Apple spoon feed us with every upgrade? Linux works for me and that is the bottom line.

    Oh, but you're able to function thinking that your OS is a way of life?

    That's not the real world, buddy.
