    Arabic problem

    slamo alakom I am using lubuntu and facing some problems in Arabic. the Arabic keyboard layout is not enable. can you please tell me a way on how to enable.

    I have found I suliton for it. To change to a another layout
    Code:
    setxkbmap <language_code>
    <language_code> for English wright us
    for Arabic ar

    After installing the arabic language pack from the Syetem > Administrator > language support

    Goto Syetem > Preferences > keyboard

    Goto layout tab

    click "add"

    add the arabic

    a new indicator will appear indicating your current input language "Fra" or "Eng" "Ara" (just like in windows)

    click on it and enjoy arabic input

    thank you very much, I was looking for a solution, because like you I'm using lubuntu too and I needed arabic :]
