Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread

    Which team do I...

...think will win? No idea, really. My guess is one of the usual favourites (Germany, Brazil, Italy, etc...) (i.e. no major upsets)

...hope will win? The Oranje. After blowing it after those first three games in the last Euro I think those Dutchmen owe their fans big-time. Pity we won't get to see van Niestelrooij and van der Sar this time around.

Failing the Dutch winning, it'd be awesome if one of the African teams won. Cote d'Ivoire maybe?

I don't follow soccer at all, but I'll be cheering for the US. Maybe we won't be too inept
One does not simply rock into Mordor.

They are playing really nice these days. They were at the final of the Confederation Cup, but lost to Brazil (USA 2 x 3 Brazil).

I am a big fan of England team so I hope they win this year. But it is tough for them as other country like Italy, Brazil, France, Germany and Argentina are among the favourite. I like to see New Zealand too as this is their first appearance after 28 years I think.

But there maybe upset too particular losing to South Korea. They maybe underdog but they have a trick or two up their sleeves.

A major upset will happen this year.

Bafana Bafana would reach the semis

And I got 10 tickets for 10 games

I live in Cape Town and football fever is hitting us bigtime!! All schools have been closed for the entire World Cup!! The local team Bafana Bafana is being supported by just about everyone. SA flags are everywhere, as are Bafana Bafana jerseys. Lekker vibe

I've only been here 8 years and I'll be supporting Germany all the way (I'm from Germany originally).
