Thanks guys! It's nice to see that I've gotten so many responses. When I first posted this, I must admit, I was leaning towards a Macbook Pro. But now, after all of these responses, I'm definitely on at least equal ground between system76 and apple. When I do get a laptop, I don't think I'm going to get any sort of support package beyond the default, simply because I'm low on money. Thank you all for these excellent responses; they've helped me learn a lot about system76, ubuntu, and even laptops in general. In fact, the stellar response in posting things on this forum is one of the best looking (and cheapest) customer support options a company could wish for.
