Known issue: It may try to remove sudo, kdesu, gksu etc will stay.

Just install sudo again after installation and everything will be fine

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install sudo

hm.... i always liked kde (i started with kde 2.2 or something similar). when kde4 went out, i really hated it- i hated it so much, that i've been even considering moving into xfce/gnome... but kde 4.3/4.4 is enough useful and stable for me- and it's being actively developed (unlike old, 3.x branch)- which means new programs, new functionalities will be created for this versions of kde (4.x). kde 3.x is dead project now- and, in my opinion, there is no real reason to stick to it.

Yes 4.4 is really good. This is just for those who want kde3. Certain Kubuntu developers took up the challenge to keep KDE3 alive. While you won't see lots of new apps, bug fixes etc are being developed.

How does it become relevant since 4.4 is out there .

Its for users who don't like 4 series or want to have KDE3 alongside KDE4.

KDE3.X still works, and its a nice DE IMO. Mind you, I've always figured that KDE3.X has a limited life at best these days.

So far, Quanta Plus web development environment won't work with kde4, so kde3 is required to be re-installed. I expect Quanta Plus will probably fix that soon.

Just to say thanks for this. Not everyone appreciates the eye-candy laden KDE4 This will certainly stop me from having to find another DE.
