Rotate screen and touch pad at the same time?

Hi there. I don;t know if this is the right place for this, but it seems like it.

I know it's easy enough to rotate the screen in Ubuntu 10.04 to a portrait orientaition, but what I'd like to do is create a small script which rotates both the screen and the outchpad input at the same time, so navigaiton is'nt impossible.

I've seen a few solutions, all of which invlolve editiong xorg.conf, but I think that xorg.conf isn't udes in 10.04, am I right?

The other problem is that most fixes seem like a permanent solution. What I'm after is some way of turning the screen and touchpad on and off with one command.

    Thanks alot in advance,
    Brodie.

Yes you are right about xorg.conf not being used in Lucid. But you can create one & it will be used.

xrandir can be used to rotate screen.

There is what I believe is a patched version of synatics that allows both to be rotated here...

There is link to several forum threads on this there which I suggest you read. It has been got to work on Lucid.
