Ok I upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04 on my HP business class laptop. No problem, system works fine. I upgraded my desktop and everything was fine. Today I shut system down to clean it out (dust etc). Now 10.04 will not boot at all. I get the initial Ubuntu loading screen and then blank screen and nothing. I thought at first that one of my hard drives might have failed but I put the live 9.10 cd in and everything works fine again. Load 10.04 Live Cd and system boots part way and then I get a black and white checkered screen and it locks up.
