Red face Lucid Lynx - dual core, one core always at 100%

I've a Compaq CQ61 laptop, and i noticed that one of the cores is always at 100%.

I didn't check the duration of the battery but surely it will "eat" my battery in a hurry

Anyone has a update / fix, that will fix this?

    Thanks in advance

Check into the issues related to the ATI graphics. I think I read something about the CPU being locked at 100% due to something being turned off. I don't have any of my computers running ATI, but that's what I've come across in reading the details of problems with the intel i8xx chipsets.
