    Enemy Territory's: Quake Wars.

I was a fan of this game on the Xbox 360 and I heard it will run natively on Linux is there any truth to this and do I need the Windows DVD to run it? I'm willing to go out and buy it I'm not interested in pirating it or anything I was just wondering if it runs well under Linux and if it installs natively or do I need WINE?

p.s. I won't use WINE so if thats the case let me know.

It does run natively without Wine, check out the info here:

You need the Windows retail DVD of the game for installation.

ID software is known for it's willingness to "play nice" in regards to linux and FOSS.

I don't get how the Windows DVD runs native in Linux. Could you explain that to me please? (Does it have the Windows/Linux installations in seperate locations or does it use the same files to install or what else?) Gamespot says it's a good game and when I saw that it's a good game AND it runs on Linux ... that got me a little excited lol.

You have to download an installer which requires the files to be copied from the disc of the Windows version.
