    10.04 wifi issues

after clean install from cd(from 9.04 working flawlessly)I now have WIFI issues.I see i am not alone, but my issue has an added twist i havnt seen mentioned. When i reboot i have good wifi connections but after a while, especially after idle time out i lose wifi and have to reenter password.Sometimes this works after a long while but i never get "green bars" on my wifi graph if and when it reconnects.I get white bars with a very slight line of green at top of each bar but apparently this is not strong enough to allow internet use i always eventually reboot to solve the problem, since it will then have full green bars till it drops out again.I am using a Hawking USB wifi adapter about 6" from my router modem which i use for my Mac and Windows without issues.
