I've been using the HP TX 2010eo and linux since 2008, it was preinstalled with Vista and ofcourse everything worked great except for the poor performence and thus i was thinking that what i needed was a stable and more powerful tablet then the one and started to thinking that "hmm, Linux is stable and configurable and also virus free, let's try to install Linux on my machine" i haven't regreted it once since then. Also got my girlfriend to love it as well.
Thanks to ubuntu 10.04 most is working out of the box saving me time to have to activate the wacom driver and making everything work (i'm also using UNE to make the pointing and starting programs a bit easier to start rather then trying to click on icons).
The thing is i've been using Ubuntu since 2008, i know my way around in the terminal and can set up my machine to work with everything i throw on it and also got the touch and stylus to work back in 2008.
But, i've never managed to make the calibration 100% correct with both finger and stylus, and also never got screen rotation and position working (it always gets way off when i'm pointing on the screen in rotation mode).
Here is what terminal say:
drake@drake-laptop:~$ xsetwacom list
Wacom ISDv4 93 eraser ERASER
Wacom ISDv4 93 STYLUS
Wacom ISDv4 93 TOUCH
drake@drake-laptop:~$ modprobe -l | grep hp-wmi
AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-68
NVIDIA® GeForceTM Go 6150
Wacom tablet, HP calls it "12.1-inch WXGA High-Def HP BrightView-Widescreen with builtin touchscreen"
What i would like to work: screen rotation either by pressing a button or like it was in Vista just rotate the screen and presto everything switches to tablet mode with 90-100% accuracy (atleast when i'm using onboard keyboard i can hit the right letter. Also right clickwith stylus would be nice.
I forgot if there is any else i should put in here, just ask!
Ps. I haven't touched anything yet so everything is config. by Ubuntu, not me =)
