    Re: LGP - Disciples 2 , when?

Yeah i was referring to them, i would also like to mention that Majesty (what they say is their most popular game...I've no idea why!?) wasn't wholly ported by them either, so 8.5 games since they announced the other mentioned ports which have never seen the light of day.

It's sad that it has come to this type of discussion, when it comes to companies and porting games to Linux I prefer a story like the Osmos devs who welcomed a Linux port and did it in the space of what...a week?

Edit > Would like to point anyone interested to an article i just wrote, with a reply from an LGP member quoted -> http://www.gamingonlinux.info/news.php?view=26
    It basically confirms it all.

    WOW....just wow ELD.

    Thats rather unmistakeable.

What I'm writing here though is pretty much the same as has already been said before, and in an already inflamed forum thread, it might not help at all.
    That line says alot.

Nice to see other websites give it some coverage, maybe, just maybe all this will prod LGP in the right direction giving them lots of bad press when they deserve it for utter lack of...everything.

Maxim, I believe your call to action will likely fall on deft ears. One can hope, and certainly Ill give it a share, but I dont think it will produce positive action .

You might be right, but it's better to DO something about it ... at least WE tried.

Well we can try all we want, I honestly doubt no amount of this will get them to open up.

I wouldn't be surprised if they disappeared in a year or two after more silence.

    Re: LGP - Disciples 2 , when?

    This begs the question though,

What of the companies that actually did the ports that LGP cannot claim?

What have they done , or continue to do?

Tribsoft = Non existent shut down.
IGIOS = Working on a port of Iron Sky , based on film of the same name.
Mindware Games = Cold war dev, their two other releases have not seen the light of a linux day.
Hyperion Games = Embroiled in the commercialization of AmigaOS, likely not to contribute to the linux world.
Runesoft = An OSX company, so they port to OSX first.
