Physical Server to Virtual Server Migration

    Hello All,

I've been running Ubuntu Server Edition 8.04 since it is release (or maybe since pre-release) and it is still running smoothly until now.

I recently acquired a hardware that only runs on windows . So instead of having another PC to run it, I decided to utilized virtualization instead.

To sum up. I have a WinXP Box with VirtualBox and already installed Ubuntu 10.04 server Edition. Is there a way to copy all my files including setting and directories from my physical server (ubuntu 8.04) to my new Virtual Server (10.04)? So my virtual server is an exact copy of the Physical server.

Or is there a way (or free software) to image my physical server whole harddrive and copy it to my virtual server drive. Or better yet, to transfer the content on my physical server hard drive to my virtual hard drive by set of linux command. (Note: my physical server HD has 80GB while virtual HD has 15GB. I only used up about 8 or 9GB.

Any help or idea will be appreciated. A step by step is more helpful.

    thanks
