I have the same system but have 10.04 netbook remix installed and with me (and I am sure with anybody else!) suspend / hybernation is working fine...it the resume function that does not work. I have tried all options in the app/power managment/... via de gconf-editor but still no resume with any button/mouse. etc....just only hard reboot.

I did notice that every time after I need to do a hard reboot when I tried testing the suspend function is that my enable (wifi) network funtion is turned off!
When I restart/turn on my system normally, the networking works fine...

a BIG OEPS! I completely missed the SD card that I stuck in my storage expansion a while ago and never put anything on. Anyway, After removal the suspend works fine!
Any hope for a fix of this?

Anybody know anything about using the laptop's BIOS to Suspend/Hibernate instead of power-manager?

Is it possible to remove sleep/suspend/hibernate functions from the OS and have the BIOS handle it?

    Thanks

This seems to be exactly the same issue as I'm having:
    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...ighlight=drwig

I too get the networking issue, but not all the time (after a hardboot after failed resume...)

    cheers

I might test the 9.10 live CD to see if suspend and hibernate works on that, but I'm pretty sure it didn't work for me in 9.04 either......

Same for me: Toshiba Satellite L305D 64-bit.

Worked perfectly fine for me in 9.04. Worked a little less well on 9.10, but still basically worked. Now, I cannot resume from suspend in 10.04. I can resume from hibernate without issue.

Any information on differences, if any, between fresh install and upgrade?
