Disable Builtin Wireless (while allowing USB)

I have an old T30 that has an incompatible wireless card with my network. How can I disable the builtin wireless card while allowing my USB Linksys card to fully function?

I can't figure out how to have one run while disabling the other.

Is there not a wireless switch on the laptop? If not; is there an option in the bios to turn it off? There should be at least 1 of those available.

There is no BIOS option or a hotkey (fn) option. This is an older T30... guess IBM didn't put those options in that early.

The only other thing I can suggest at the moment is to disassemble the laptop and remove the wireless card? If that's even possible.

I'm looking for a software solution... as it must exist with some expertise.
