PD: I use traditional Chinese and Japanese

That would need some special software, and probably the software is only for Windows. I think it will not work without it. I use my tablet and http://www.chinese-tools.com/tools/mouse.html to look up characters sometimes, but I don't think that's what you want...

Re: Chinese Handwriting Input System with table

i found a possible solution, although it isn't very pretty. set up your tablet to be used as a normal tablet, then install cell writer. after that, start up cell writer and go to setup, and add "CJK Unified Ideographs" to the languages list. Then you'll have to write every character you want to use in order to train it.... This would probably be extremely time consuming, so obviously the program needs some work. But at least it's a step in the right direction.

Maybe there's something better out there that anyone knows of?

after experimenting with the program, i've found that the character lists aren't even complete. this means it's basically useless, because characters like 这 aren't even available.... oh well, i was really hoping it would work

There are some projects that I am checking on:

Before these, I had used Linux Wacom tablets with vmware running virtual Windows Chinese version, it worked but not very happy with it still.
