Hello,
I'll be creating my first personal live linux server (after playing around for years) and want to get some feedback from you all.

I am looking at x86 Sun servers.. here:
Sun Fire X2270

In the servers I have managed in the past, SUN equipment has always been indestructible.. which is the main reason I am looking at this server hardware.

However, maybe there is something I am overlooking, or something I should consider in this purchase?

Lastly, I would like to hear what other hardware solutions people are having good experiences with.

I have had excellent success on any HP DL 3xx G5 or G6 series server.

Getting back to this finally...

Thx for the link ghost.. I'm now looking at:

Power Edge 2310 1U servers.

This has a RAID 5 controller:

"PERC S300"

Is there a link for Ubuntu compatible RAID cards somewhere?
