Is there a Gyachi built for Ubuntu 10.04?
Ok problem solved , seems like the built for 9.10 works in 10.04 https://launchpad.net/~loell/+archiv...+build/1140332 this is the amd 64 built
I wouldn`t know maybe Loell the maintainer would know if he reads this , he could give an answer. Gyachi is one of the reason i keep using Ubuntu, i need my yahoo client , this one is actually better than the windows client. It`s even got anti boot security Anyone else know why it`s not in the repos ? http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=773802
I f you wish to have voice you must have a 32 bit version of Ubuntu, download the codecs here http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gya...chi-codecs.deb those will not work in 64 bit

Thanks. I didnt know that.
There are a lot of great apps that are not in the repositories, but Gyachi is the one and only messenger that actually replaces yahoo with webcam and voice support, a MAJOR reoccurring gripe and reason some people leave Ubuntu.
Seriously, these people deserve the respect they have earned. I almost think it should come default, but at least put it in the repository.
