How do i get the login screen back to the default.

Hi, I changed my login screen on karmic using the gdm2setup thing, but now i want to set it back to the default one, I tried doing a complete removal in synaptic, but that didn't work, how do I set it back to default?

Also for some reason, instead of the normal boot screen, during boot up it just show text, how do i get the boot screen back to default also?

I haven't used gdm2setup but wonder if there is a way to simply reverse what you originally did. Just removing the gdm2setup will certainly not put you back to the default.

Alternatively try doing a reinstallation of GDM, or if that does not work, a complete removal and then reinstallation of GDM from synaptic, but take note; the removal will also remove four other packages which will also need reinstallation.
