Remove the little mail symbol on the indicator Applet

Title explains what I want done.

Since I use pidgin for chat (Empathy can't even send and receive files when using Yahoo), I don't use evolution, and gwibber is useless to me(Facebook is too cluttered because it shows ALL messages made by my friends, and I have many friends who spam apps to kingdom come. It works well with Twitter... But I don't use twitter; unless they make it work with Plurk, this app remains useless to me), it would seem apparent that this little mail icon would is also useless to me. Any way I can remove it?

It would seem that the same applies the part where my username is displayed (which allows you to change your status on Empathy [and pidgin, but pidgin's own icon seems more useful]), can I also remove that as well?
