What are the good software for processing and editing photographs on Ubuntu for both RAW and JPEG?

Thanks for the replies, I was thinking more on the lines of Aperture.

GIMP doesn't do RAW. And, F-Spot lacks quite some features.

GIMP does do RAW images... you have to only add needed libraries...

I found a better and more ubuntu way to get Rawtherapee
oen a terminal type these commands

    Code:
    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rawtherapee/ppa
Note this might take a few minutes, dont worry if it hangs for a few its ok, if it hangs for over 10 minutes try again.
    then update the system
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update
    then install rawtherapee
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install rawtherapee
    more info here if needed

GIMP with ufraw (free), Bibble5, Lightzone 3.9 (nonfree). Picasa 3, still in beta mode but free for linux. Raw Studio, Raw Therapee (Free). I use GIMP, ufraw, bibble5, Lightzone and Picasa 3. As my main editors with linux.
