Problem with Scanner Driver - uscanner? where?

Hi all!
I hope that this time I'm posting in the right category!
Well, i wanna scan some images or something and I have a quite old scanner, it is the model "Primax Colorado USB 9600". i search about its drivers and I found that uscanner driver makes your system compatible with this scanner (see this page for more details: http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/...scanner.4.html . Notice that primax colorado usb 9600 is included). Although I have no idea where I can find this driver. I can't find it via Synaptic or anywhere else...

I searched this forum and I found one same topic with no answers. i know that me, like other people need this drive.
This drive is known although there is nowhere a link from where we can download it and install it. Can anyone in here, the whole UBUNTU community help me and us?

I need this driver too, I did eventually manage to get it working in XP using Windows 98 drivers, but I don't remember how, or where I got them from and so have a PC running XP that I am scared to alter, just for this scanner.

To get it working in Ubuntu would be great!

Sorry to bump this, but this thread is the only place I've found discussing uscanner, and the link in the previous post is dead now. Any hints??

I need this driver package too, and Google just turns up a million results with the same quoted description of uscanner but no download link. Can't find it in synaptic or anywhere.
