Toshiba Satellite P505-S8980 No eth0

I just installed 32 Ubuntu 9.10 onto my new laptop, but I can not get any internet access because it fails to detect the built in Ethernet. System/Administration/Network Connections has no device to connect. Running ifconfig gives only the loopback port, and ifconfig /all gives and error message that there are no devices to list.

Under Windows 7 it finds the interface and describes the hardware as Atheros AR8132 PCI-E Fast Ethernet. But after installing Ubuntu, I can not find the hardware at all.

Any suggestions on how to get Internet Connectivity on my Laoptop?
