    In the terminal, type conky and hit enter and it should appear on your desktop.

    Re: Help with conky

    There are a TON of amazing conky config files.

    The way conky works is thus;

    when you launch conky, it looks for a file in your home directory titled .conkyrc (its normally hidden because its a 'dot file', click show hidden files in nautilus file browser to see them)

    conky reads this file and outputs information on the desktop or window based on this.

    There are many sites available to show you how to configure your .conkyrc file.

    Here are some:

    If you want, You could even take my conky setup! Look at this thread here for that: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...17#post8741617

    It's .conkyrc and it's a file NOT a folder. You have to unhide hidden files and folders using Ctrl+h or View > Show hidden files

    Please read all of the instructions CAREFULLY!
    If you miss something or enter something wrong, you will end up with unnecessary problems and maybe even a headache... haha

    Like the guy above me said. Its a .conkyrc file, It might not be there because you didnt create it yet. Just follow the instructions on my link to MY LOOK to see exactly how to set it up, you could always tweak it after that!
