Hey Everyone,
I just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself to the forum.
I've been messing around with Ubuntu since probably late 2010 or so, and I have been getting more into Linux-based OS lately. It is both a hobby and practical for me, as I am a self-employed technician on the side, and I really enjoy messing with as much technology as I can get my hands on.
Some recent projects I've been working on include working with Linux distributions from the command line directly, and learning as much as I can about the use of package managers and repositories and how these are used across different distributions. I am also working on creating my own distribution for personal use and experimenting with various builds using TinyCore Linux to create a super lightweight environment for basic browser use for end users primarily accessing web-based apps. Hopefully one day this will grow into a full distribution that I can contribute to the open source community. Until then, I am looking forward to getting more involved, and I figured this forum was a great place to start as Ubuntu is my primary distribution of choice for both personal and recommended usage to clients seeking an alternative operating system to fit their needs.
Some projects I would really like to get into are building servers and more networking-based activities, as this is an area I do not have a ton of experience in, but really feel I should learn how to work with. Other than consumer, home-based networks, I haven't worked with a whole lot of advanced networking concepts. Most of what I do is at the hardware and OS level only.
Anyway, I'm happy to be here, and I hope this was posted in the correct area! If not, please let me know and I will correct it!

Hello everyone.
My name is Stephanie, and I'm excited to be here. I live in Ontario Canada, but originally from the UK. I've been using several flavors of Linux over the years, and have finally arrived at Ubuntu and quite enjoying it so far. I'm also a Mac addict (Don't throw any rocks) I have 4 Mac's; an iMac 27" running macOS Mojave, a Mac Mini running macOS Mojave, a Mac Mini single booting Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS, and a MacBook Pro dual booting macOS Mojave and Linux Mint 19.3 Cinnamon.
I'm really impressed with Ubuntu so far and if this continues I can see me installing Ubuntu over Linux Mint on my MacBook Pro.
Welcome to the forums, stephanie-s.
