Hello, I am new to Ubuntu, but not to Linux, which I have been using for twenty years. I went through SuSe, a bit of Fedora, a lot of Debian that I used on four releases, but because of its "conservative" side and not AI friendly, my migrated to Ubuntu. I love the DevOps side, but especially the DIY-free provision of TensorFlow.
Otherwise, I am French, well over forty years old, I fully adhere to Open Source, I love music, cinema, reading, I am a fan of cyberpunk, of science fiction (I love Picard series, verse trek and especially Babylon 5)

First time user, long time procrastinator of using Linux, wish I would of made the switch years ago!
Live in Australia, enjoy a mindless hack n slash like diablo 3 occasionally, B-grade movies and shows such as Brocklyn 99.
Hoping to hone my Linux skills, reminds me of my DOS days long long time ago before windows 3.1. Any suggestions for a new user of Ubuntu?
I registered 5 years ago.

I am coming back because
I tested some distro

Why is the menu with 9 dots display BIG icons and small legends
Ubuntu is one of distros where the legends are gibberish under the picture,

Yes, see UNIX administration videos on Youtube, read Oreilly books, passed from Diablo 3 to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (it's more fun chasing the Dragon, than Diablo and Malthael), yes also read the Cryptonomicon trilogy and this looked at "person of interest" and "westworld", by the way welcome
